7th Shopsmith Machine = SS Mark V / Nov. 1984 (Double Quill Bearings)
8th Shopsmith Machine = SS Greenie / 1956
Shopsmith headstock only/ From Shopsmith/ June 1957
I have the 3 Specialty Tool Rests. I got mine with the Universal Lathe Tool Rest as part of the All-Inclusive Lathe Tool Rest Package.
As a side note I often see "used" Specialty Tool Rests for sale on eBay that end up costing more than you can buy them new from Shopsmith.
Just one of those examples as to why you should always check Shopsmith prices on current items or parts before buying used. Many sellers put their "like new" or used parts for sale just under the new price from Shopsmith. Add in the shipping and their total price becomes higher. Then there are those sellers that have no clue what the actual value is of what they are selling.

Yeah, I have it. WHY is the image at that link so horrible? Is the Shopsmith website running on an 8-bit computer???
I Know that's Right.

The price is established by the ancient laws of "Supply and Demand". If you don't want it bad enough to pay that price don't buy it.
Incidentally, it works that way in the real world too. Check the prices of items on your daily shopping list.
