Early edition of PTWFE
After arrival of the currently sold self-study guide from Shopsmith, I found online this hardcover edition of the DeCristoforo book. From the photos in the book, it appears that it does not match with the exact model of my Mark V but still seems it will be a good reference to use with the self-study guide. There is no publication or copywrite date printed in the book, so wondering if someone might know when this edition was published.

Re: Early edition of PTWFE
Good morning StoneyD,
It is the 3rd Edition I referred to in your other thread Mark 7 self study guide vs vintage DecCristoforo book as stated below.
For anyone else reading this for information about the book Power Tool Woodworking for Everyone and wanting more information it is explained in the other thread Mark 7 self study guide vs vintage DecCristoforo book mentioned above which can be found at the link below.

How I know it was published sometime after 1972 is because Shopsmith Inc. (the company listed in your 3rd picture) was formed in 1972 and restarted production and selling the Mark 5 and related tools beginning in March 1973. In the 3rd Edition the chapter on Spray Finishing was deleted. It is one of those changes I talked about in the other thread. The third edition was released sometime after 1972 and is the one with no copyright date.

Re: Early edition of PTWFE
Thanks for reminding me that you had already replied with the information, and I did download the version that corresponds to the self-study guide. Now that I have gone through the operational checks and alignments, I can actually start with the study guide and become familiar with the Mark V. Thanks again.

I hope you enjoy your journey getting to know your Mark V. If you come up with additional questions know that there is always help to be found here on the Shopsmith Forum.
