Mystery parts!

Post by tsaguy »

Sweet! I love the response I have been getting on this forum and I appreciate all the support.

Now, on to the next question....

What is this? And what does it go to? Its possible that it isnt a SS part, my grandfather buight a lot of stuff he didnt really need. But I am unable to find a SS part number on it.

Any clues?

It's a Zyliss vise. Not a shopsmith product.
Made in Switzerland.

It is not a Shopsmith part but it is a valuable item to have in your shop.

It is a multi-function bench vise that can be clamped to your work bench, a kitchen cabinet, a dinning room table or wherever.

The one you have pictured here does not appear to have been made by the original manufacturer (Zyliss) but it looks to be a good knock off.

I have had The original z-Vise2 System, based on the original Zyliss Vise from Switzerland for about 10 years and really like it. If you can clamp it you have a vise.
