What's your favorite internet based woodworking website?
I signed up for a 14-day free trial at www.finewoodworking.com. Annual rate $35 or $5/mo. I'm 3 days into the trial and seems interesting.
Wonder what other sites may be out there that SS members would recommend, whether free or subscription.

I like this site.
I also have
"http://www.workshopcompanion.com/Genera ... elcome.htm"
on my tool bar.
I visit other sites only when I am searching for a specific idea or product.
I prefer magazines in the print format, so I can read them while multi-tasking (in front of the TV or locked in the library.)

Let's see, there's ...
The Router Forums
Workshop Companion
Woodworking Online - Podcast
Fine Woodworking Online Magazine
WOOD Magazine Online (Videos)
The Workshop of Charles Neil
All of these are free sites except Fine Woodworking which requires membership to view SOME of the PDF's and Videos, but not all. There's quite a few more such as Youtube, etc. All you have to do is search around a little and there are a million of them out there. I have a list of more than 25 sites bookmarked and still growing.

This is it! I do like Lumberjocks but can't keep up, keeping up with this group is tough enough. I have also looked at some of the other sites listed but in general only go there when someone here finds something of interest and posts a link. Thanks to those who post these links, you are appreciated!
My spare time is limited and there is just so much out there that it is easy to end up spending too much shop time on the computer. In general I try to limit computer time to when I'm too tired to work safely or am waiting for something. Right now I'm bluing screws.
I have refused to sign up for the FWW offer as I subscribe to and enjoy the magazine but am not interested in paying double to get both. While I can understand their desire to make the web page pay and realize they are looking towards a future where the magazine is no longer printed, I don't much like their approach. They used to have a lot of great stuff available for free but now much of this content is in the pay to view area and they are devoting more and more space or limiting the content in their magazine to force people to subscribe to both. I don't care for the ethics of this.

This is the only MAIN site for me! Although I never hesitate to look at the other sites listed above, when referred to them. Get e-mail from Fine Woodworking, Woodworker's Journal, Lee Valley, Rockler, and others, and will peruse those sites.
Usually, this site takes up all of the time I'm willing to spend on the computer.

Oh, and how could I have forgotten about the Old Woodworking Machines web site and forum?
http://www.owwm.com - "Mothership"
http://www.owwm.org - forum
But this and the 10ER Yahoo group are my two main woodworking discussion sites. I don't frequent the other sites as much as I do this one.
