What is this Li'l Guy?

Thought some of you collectors might find this interesting... not sure if it is anything special, but it looked kind of funky to me, and I'm not sure what the accessories are... I see a jointer, and I think the thing on the left is just an extension table, but what's the thing on the right (top looks like a fence, not sure what the bottom is) and the thing in the back (behind the green envelope)?

On the right is the main table and fence. In the back is the carriage that probably doesn't fit anymore. I wonder if the table will fit in the accessory mount.

that is a "mini" shopsmith. very useful to power a bandsaw, belt sander jointer and/or strip sander. the saw table will not fit in the accessory mount tubes and the carriage will not fit any longer so you also would not have the drill press option. a mini is made by cutting the tubes in half. another option is to make a "midi" shopsmith by shortening the tubes by 18". a midi will still function as a drill press and lathe. if all the pieces are there you could find a full length set of tubes and restore it to it's original beauty.

The legs are farther apart than the holes in the accessory mount. I cut the back leg off and rewelded it. The table will still tilt and can be used for a few functions. [ATTACH]6276[/ATTACH]

My later design had both legs cut and using a heavy "L" aluminum cross bracket on the side away from the headstock, I carefully had the legs welded so this table can be used with the regular 500 table and the fence will slide from the main to this table. I believe this would allow the use of the sawing function (somewhat crude) on the MINI Shopsmith.
