I'm knot sure which part your talking about, but the faceplate can be bought from SS.
SS 500(09/1980), DC3300, jointer, bandsaw, belt sander, Strip Sander, drum sanders, molder, dado, biscuit joiner, universal lathe tool rest, Oneway talon chuck, router bits & chucks and a De Walt 735 planer,a #5,#6, block planes. ALL in a 100 square foot shop.

Some where there must be a mountain (or a landfill) of faceplates for Shopsmiths.
Of all of the SS's I have bought used (roughly 2 dozen) almost none came with a face plate of either size. I bought one of each with my 510 but I don't recall more than one or two that I bought having one. I would have thought that almost everybody would have had one. :)

Well after reading the previous reply and talking with my wife (she's got the brains), we came to realize that maybe I had this part! You see, my father-in-law let me pack up all his SS parts and use them. Sure enough both faceplates in the link above were packed neatly in the bottom of a well worn cardboard box! Thanks for the help.
