Membership Continues to Increase

Post by dusty »

Since the 28th of October there have been 248 new members join this forum.

What I am really excited about though is that many of these new members are posting. Good show!. Keep it up. It is great to have you here and it is even greater when you express your opinions and ask your questions.:)

During the past fourteen days there have been more new members sign up for the forum than in any fourteen day period since I began keeping track.

This past period (which is not over yet til midnight) has witnessed an increase of 69 new members and many of these are posting (not just lurking).

To me, that is the really great news as all of these new members bring with them a multitude of new ideas and many bring with them offers of new skills to be shared.

We have a wealth of information available to us here. What more could one ask for the new year other than a safe shop to work in and a healthy mind and body to continue doing so.:)

God Bless Ya'll:)

The number of new members in the past fourteen days turned out to be 75 (Dec21-Jan3).

I was at a New Years party and I gave out the fourm address hoping to get the general contractors to use our website. I had a few people that seemed to be interested in my shopsmith that I purchased at a garage sale.

That is the way it happens. Especially with used machines, word of mouth is the primary means of advertisement.

The group continues to grow.

During the last fourteen days there have been 59 new members join the forum (and the day is not over).

It appears, however, that I am going to have to purchase a 10E or 10ER. There has been a flood of new "10" owners and I have never seen one.

Ron, hey Ron - I need to come visit. If I can view yours, I might not need to purchase one for myself. No, what am I thinking, that won't work.

Dusty, surely by now you know that to make the SS experience complete you have to have at least one ER to go with the rest. Remember my offer, if you ever travel again make sure Broken Arrow and a trailer is on your list.
Right now with 4 ER's and two MKV's I am getting there. Oh forgot the two ER's in boxes still to be worked on. Oh yeah I don't have a shorty MKV yet. So much to do and so little time. Let the group grow and share.
Thanks to all
Bill :)

I have quit looking to see what the other forums are doing in terms of membership. But I cannot ignore what is happening here. For me, the exciting part is not just that the membership number is growing but also that the active particpation number is growing.

It is so encouraging to see members, that have not previously been active participants, posting questions and comments.

In the period since Jan 18, 2010, there have been 151 new members join the group. Not all are real active but there are many that have joined in.

There has been, during this time, over 200 new threads established containing nearly 2600 new postings.

Just you wait! When Shopsmith releases the news on availability dates for the new PowerPro, activity will really surge.:):)

Dusty,

On that other unnamed discussion group the past few days they began discussing the new Power Pro. I was funny to follow the discussion I managed to refrain from comment but feel as though we are destined to continue growing. We certainly have more meaningful discussions that contain more usable info. Jim
