Found Wood Prodjecs

I like to wonder around the woods or along Mobile bay looking for projects. Here are two. The first one I found the wood on Mobile bay, I have never really identified the wood. It is natural with a tung oil finish. The second is part on a elm that when down in a hurricane

Wow!
You really have an artistic eye and talent. The artistic side is something that I have tried, but I fail miserably. I started a 5' bear holding a salmon, but just couldn't get my mind to grasp it and flow. I could post a photo, but you would fall of your chair laughing.

When I first started carving I made a lot of nice looking fire wood. But it is surprising how fast you can get a grasp of it if you stick to for a while. All you need is a sharp knife and a large box of Band Aids.
