Have any of you tried going into business with Eureka Manufacturing? The website is http://www.eureka-business.com. I'm curious to find another SS owner who might have tried this and wanted to hear of their experiences. My email addy is raynations1@aol.com. Please write to me there and we can discuss pro/con about it. I'm considering this for the summer and into the fall. Any info you may have on it would be greatly appreciated!

Although I have not dealt with Eureka, I built and sold furniture for years. At one point I had 3 stores selling my creations. Let me tell you, It is tough to make a decent profit. My wood was free and I still would have made more money working at a Starbucks. Making the items was easy, but if nobody is buying anything, how many you can make in a day is irrelevent.
If I was seriously thinking of making/selling outdoor furniture, I would save my $15,000 Eureka buy-in. If you made $70 profit per chair, you would have to sell over 225 chairs just to pay for the package WOW!! I would make a couple pieces of outdoor furniture NOW ( make them beautiful ) and bring them to potential sellers to gauge the market in outdoor furniture and possibly get orders for spring. As you get orders for your furniture you can make jigs to speed up production and add more variety to your offerings. By the fall, I am sure the orders for outdoor furniture would taper off drastically.
