Can't turn SS off

So much for a fun day in the shop. I just purchased a woodsmith box joint jig, and decided today was the day to try it out. After going through the setup, and installing my new SS adjusting collar to get the dado depth just right I started up the SS 510. Pushed my first piece of wood through, and went to turn off the SS....nothing, just kept on running. Tried a few times and finally pulled the plug. The next hour was spent taking the cover off, noting the dust, cleaning, vacuuming, blowing, etc. Tried again and the switch still will not close (or is it open). Guess I will call SS tomorrow and order a new switch.
I can probably put a switch in line at the plug, but I'll first see how long it will take to get a replacement.
Anyway...just a warning about the EMERGENCY off switch.

Gary - In the meantime - assuming your switch has 4 terminals - simply move the two wires from the side of the switch where they are now located to the other side - the other two terminals. If you have a low stool, you could do this sitting down.

Nick pointed out the 4 terminal switches are actually two switches. When one side goes bad, just use the other side.

Wow, Thanks. Will do. It is a 4 terminal switch with only two in use. I found that interesting as my dad would have me use double pole/double throw on most circuits. (I do miss him). He would have had the thing completely rewired.
