Well.... Another "new" greenie
Some of you may remember I reworked a 58 Greenie last year.
Another "new" greenie joins the pack
It ended up at my daughters and son in laws instead and I now have another one for my step dad. This one is supposed to be a 55 with some accessories. I picked it up on 'that' auction sight for about $105 and will be going up to get it next weekend (it is in KC and I am in Dallas).
I don't have any pictures of it yet but I will try to document the process I go through to get it in shape with the caveat that it may or may not be in my capabilities to get it there. We shall see.
Any way, Wish me luck.

It was supposed to be a 55 but by the Serial Number (320395) it is a 56 by my understanding. The included manual was a 55 copyright, I'm thinking that is where he got the date from.

In a way that is ok because that means their is already an access hole in the back.

As you can see the motor is the expected 3/4 hp motor.
The older gentleman I bought it from said he was the second owner as he pluged it in and started it. He ran it up and down in speed and she purr's real nice.
most of the bits n pieces are here. I need a set of lathe knives, a dead center, a tool rest arm-n-rest. It came with some extras too, A jigsaw, part of a jointer, a mortise hold down.
Now all I have to do is tear it apart, clean it up, paint it, assemble it, test it, and then give it away (to my Step Father).
Any way that brings us up to date.
I'll keep you posted.
BTW does any one have a local source for the verde green hammered finish paint. Maybe we can work something out;)

You should have a space after all of your quotation marks and parenthesis, before and after your use of the forward slash, and between words!JPG40504 wrote:Goldie(Bought New SN 377425)/4"jointer/6"beltsander/1"stripsander/bandsaw/powerstation/Craftsman10"ras/Craftsman6"thicknessplaner/Dayton10"tablesaw(restoredfromneighborstrashpile) and a growing pile of items to be eventually returned to useful life. - aka Red Grange
