I got the latest Sharkguard for a SS mounted on my machine.
See included pictures

So far with limited testing it seems to do everything it promises. I cut various wood and it caught most of the dust. I even did a shaving cut on MDF (produces a bunch of dust) and none excaped the Shark.

The thing I like best is if your doing a non through cut you can remove the blade guard and it mounting and still have the riving knife. Mounting and removing just the blade guard is nothing more than losening the two wing nuts and flipping up the keeper and pulling it off. Of course the whole assembly mounts to the SS just like the original blade guard.

Lee Styron is a super guy to work with and goes out of his way to make things right.

Also how much $$ ? and where to get it?

The fact you now have upper and lower dust collection improves air quality and I think the thing adds to the looks of the SS.

It seems the Shark Guard is made of a more see-thru plastic than the original Shopsmith guard. I wonder if it will stay that way since the dust is being removed as it's created? One of my complaints with the SS guard is that it gets dirty and I can't see the cut line when in use.

It looks like a nice setup but maybe just a bit over priced.

Looks like one of those things like the SS planer - would be nice to have, but at the price (no doubt about the value) it is not on my wish list!

It IS on my wish list. I'm just trying to decide whether to order the one with the 4" dust collection port or the smaller one.

Of course I have lots of other "stuff" on my wish list too.

The Sharkguard does not yet come in the 500 flavor. I would suggest that interested parties contact Lee and let him know of their interest in a 500 model.

What would you consider a fair price? I'm not challenging you I'm just asking for what you think it should cost.
Keep in mind the replacement SS upper Saw guard is $81.22
