My accessory shelf

I put together this accessory shelf today. I used a scrap 2x6 from a picnic table project. Storage in my work area is at a premium and I just didn't have a good spot to put most of this stuff. It's not as big or as well laid out as the one that Shopsmith sells, but it suits my needs and I have the satisfaction of having made it myself.

Nice job, it looks as well laid out as the Shopsmith one. What is the wooden part sitting on the rails between the headstock and bandsaw?

Well, I did use the Shopsmith one as a guide, so I can't really take credit for that...

It's a mount for a lamp. I still need the actual lamp.

Good looking shelf, how were the slots for the sawblade/sanding disk cut?

I used my circular saw. I lined up the blade with my mark for the slow, set the front edge of the guide on the board, then VERY carefully lowered the spinning blade down into the wood.

I only did that for the saw blade slots. I used either my hand held jigsaw, or the Shopsmith in drill press mode with Forstner bits for everything else.
