Jigsaw restore in Seaside Green

Post by cincinnati »

Here are some photo's of the 1950's Magna jigsaw I restored. I have just a few parts to polish and put on before complete.
I wanted to paint it the Verder (sp?) green that everyone uses but it is not available anyplace in Cincinnati so I had to pick another color.
After much thought I came up with the color combo of Seafoam Green and black. A very popular color combo back in the 1950's
The green I used was a satin Seaside Green by American Accent. Purchased at Hobby Lobby. Rustolum has a color called Seafoam Green. It is the exact same color as the Seaside green but in a gloss finish.
Le me know what you think of the colors.

Thanks for looking.

How do you get photo's to show in the post? It does not work like other forums I get on.

Once you've uploaded your pics, use the paperclip icon to place the pic in your message.

1) Click on paper clip - a new window will open for the purpose of selecting and uploading each pix. They must be 800x600 or less. You may upload up to 5 per post. You may also create a link to another url.

2) Go back to 'reply' and now when you click on the paperclip, it will present a list of those uploaded.

Nice clean look to that color combo and very nice paint job. Did you paint it totally disassembled or just carefully masked off?

Beautiful & well done. Ahh, Seafoam Green - It elicits fond memories of Ameican autos from the 50s &60s and it was a very popular color for Fender guitars as well. Good choice!
