I keep seeing messages here and on other forums about Shopsmith special offers and sale items. I even get "special" emails informing me of discount products, because I am subscribed and that's fine.
I find that the web pages for ordering parts etc. are geared only to the USA and Canada, as there is not enough room in the fill-in fields for State and Zip code, even though there's an "Other" box for country. (We don't have 2 or 3 letter state abbreviations or only 6 digit zip codes!) My major grumble however, is that I can't take part in these schemes from the UK. I'm passed on to our sole UK supplier, who (good as they are) don't pass the sale items on, and sometimes don't even have stock.
Regardless of cost, it would be useful to have the choice and pay the (probably huge) transportation charge. I realise that carriage costs are not Shopsmith's fault, but I would prefer to have the option.
