Jointer refurbish.

I picked up an old "Green Magna jointer" from the bay.
I've disassembled, cleaned the head and checked the bearings.
I sharpened the blades. cleaned up the table, fence and guard.
I picked up a back guard assy from a newer jointer. Had to drill and tap the base, and fence for the two guards.
I painted the guards with rustoleum federal safety red.
I've checked that both tables are coplanar. It cuts great, except that with the straight mounting tubes, I have about a 1/4" offset on the drive tube. With advice from several here, I've ordered a pair of offset tubes.
When my tubes get here, I going to disassemble it again, and paint the body, and fence.
I have a quandary? all the rest of my tools are shopsmith gray.
But I kinda like the original Magna green.
What would you-all do???
If gray what color gray would be a good match.
Somewhere, I saw the Magna hammer-tone green paint#, but I can't find it again. What number is the magna green?

Repaint the rest of your Shopsmith tools to match the Magna green.

I'd enjoy the well restored jointer and probably never notice the color!

I agree! Green is sexier than Gray! I just prefer goldies.

Yep! But when the 510 gets up and roaring, poor goldie will get a badly needed rejuvenation. She might end up 'second' choice(or third after my goldie mini which is about to debut). Time will tell.
Actually I will like them all, but their differences are appreciated. Same goes for the waiting in the wings Blue Beast(10E).
Nothing like multiple irons being roasted simultaneously!:p

Well I completely stripped down and prepped the jointer.
I was going to paint it with Rustoleum hammer tone "Verde green".
But after a thorough local search, there was none to be found. I just painted it with Rustoleum textured gray. The finish somewhat matches the band saw (sorta).
Tomorrow after the paint is dry and hard, I'm going to put everything back together.
What is the best lubricant(s) for the infeed table contact points, and the depth adjustment screw assy?[ATTACH]9882[/ATTACH]

Verde Green
is available from Rustoleum if you are still interested.
I asked the gentleman in the paint department at my nearest Ace Hardware if it could be ordered. He said yes but he thought there might be a minimum quantity.
Maybe you Verde Green folks need to set up a consortium and stock paint for your Greenies.

I called all the local ACE, Tru-value, Lowes, Home Depot's, and Wallyworlds.
There was none to be found.
I wanted to get this job done.
