Need parts Mark V

Post by aloneryd »

Hey guys, New to ownership mark V , its green,so I think its 1950ish. I need a magna bandsaw plastic side cover. or an idea how to repair breaks in this one. Its seems like some kind of phenolic plastic, very hard and brittle (like bakelite )and Im not sure what type of repair material will stick to it. Also I need the base bracket that holds in the threaded tool rest for the lathe

Welcome to the SS world!

I show a saw cut repair here:

It seems to have held well, might work for your breaks.

OR now might be the time to upgrade to the new cover. Which has a dust port and ya can tension the blade with the cover on. Check with SS customer service to make sure it will fit, but I think it will.
