Thanks in advance!
New to the forum, new to shopsmith, returning woodworker - high school shop class was the last time I touched a lathe. Scored an awesome deal on craigslist.
Was messing with Featherboard on joiner, was attempting to check table trueness, featherboard kept getting in way, so I removed it. Upon removal I lost the spring tension to push featherboard against the fence, tried reinstalling, took a wrench to the nut, figured if I tighten enough, it get the spring to rebuild tension... Yeah, I fooked it up... Now the nut just spins in place, can't even remove it now.
So with your assistance; 1- how do I get a replacement bolt & how do I properly install the featherboard properly once I get a hold of the bolt??
Thanks again!!

So with your assistance]
To start with, we need a more common ground upon which to work. If you would load the free PDF catalog in it you would find an illustrated parts breakdown that can be used for this sort of "blind discussion".
The question I have is which item is there that is spinning out of control?
http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/index.htm
note: in the upper right hand corner "PDF Catalog - Inside Pages"
the jointer is on page 62 in my catalog.
BTW: Loosing tension is a common problem for me, every time I take it apart.
