RPM's Don't seem like enough
I had just replaced a the speed control assembly awhile back before I started on my new project. After installing the speed control the RPM's don't seem like they are running like they should. To use the table saw I need to run up to the letter "V" or somewhere in that range on my speed dial. Before I would be around the letter "S" or "T" I'm wondering if my belt needs to be replaced? On my last P.M. I feel like I had adjusted the eccentric to the max. Can anyone suggest something to consider?
Have ya done a high speed adjustment yet?

You say that you replaced the speed control assembly. Does that mean you replaced the Speed Changer or did you go inside and replace quadrant assembly (porkchop)]here[/URL].tpritch wrote:I had just replaced a the speed control assembly awhile back before I started on my new project. Either way, you might want to read this thread paying particular attention to post #9 by Nick. He discusses the high speed adjust, an integral part of the speed control function.
Without a tachometer, about the only way you can tell if you are adjsted for "high speed" is to look at the position of the drive belt (discussed by Nick in the referenced thread).
