I was looking at photos of a fellows shop and spotted a Hitachi CW40 scroll saw. I was a little surprised to notice that it looked exactly like the Tradesman scroll saw I bought a couple of years ago at Mennards. I had bought it just based on my liking how it looked and felt. I'm quite happy with it except for the crappy guard/hold-down loop.
Here is a page I found during a search that gives more information on who produces it.
