I do not know there are not many carvers here. But I needed a carving stand of some kind. Something that was portable and could be broken down and stored away. I also wanted a place to mount my Jerry Rig vise and holds the tools I am working with. Not long a go I got a Rockwell Jawhorse. I have been very happy with the way it works. It holds block lumber and logs very secure. I came up with this setup using the Jawhorse. I think will work well for me. It makes a very stable carving set up. I thought I would share it.

The blue de vise is a Jerry-Rig. It gives you the ability to rotate your carving or what ever is mounted on it 360 degrees and raise or lower the work. The vise mounts on a workbench or table. The other attachment that works like a little workmate and lets you work on small thing, I have use it for working on a lot of things.
