Just curious what people have done to put casters on their standalone scroll saw. I have extra sets of casters for the Mark V, but they are both too narrow and don't seem like they would work given the adjustable feet of the scroll saw.

I think the casters are the same except for use on the SPTs there are spacers available that make the short casters fit. The castrers on my powerstaion are Mk V casters with two (1 on either side) 1/2" to 3/4" (not sure of exact measurement) spacers.

The casters will work just fine. You need appropriate size bolts, nuts, and washers, along with some spacers. I'm sure ShopSmith will sell you the appropriate hardware kit, or make up your own. I can probably take a look at mine, tomorrow, and give you some sizes, if you want.

My scroll saw has brackets to adapt the casters to it.

Well now, I am confused (not unusual). If I go to the ShopSmith site, Accessory Catalog, Scroll Saw, then click on casters under Scroll Saw Accesories, I see an illustration of the hardware I described (PN 555457).
If I just search on PN 555457, I see an illustration of the hardware described by jpg in post #3. This is the hardware I actually have on mine. The brackets are 1/8" thick, and about 2 1/2" across the top. There are 3/16" spacers between the brackets and legs. Ron
