dado damage
Can a dado set be resharpened? Seems to me, you could'nt regrind just one or two chippers, without changing the smoothness of the bottom of the cut. I let someone use my set, and they cut into a #8 stainless steel screw. Another reason I HATE lending my equipment. So, can I send it out? Pisses me off, cause I've had this set for 10 years and it was a nice set. Very accurate. Oh yeah.... you think this person offered to make it right? Nope. Not a word. This same person also recently dropped my 9MM pistol and ruined it. No offer to pay for it. I'd kick his ass, but he is my wifes oldest son. 48 yrs. old. jimsjinx
If you are a part time band leader, does that make you a semi-conductor? Where do all the "unguided" bombs go?
I'd say that the dado blade can be resharpened, IF ya want to pay the price. DON'T lend him anything more that ya don't want broken.
SS 500(09/1980), DC3300, jointer, bandsaw, belt sander, Strip Sander, drum sanders, molder, dado, biscuit joiner, universal lathe tool rest, Oneway talon chuck, router bits & chucks and a De Walt 735 planer,a #5,#6, block planes. ALL in a 100 square foot shop.
