resaw jig for band saw

After Jerry and I got together I decided to look into a resaw jig for the Band Saw. He was mentioning something about an adjustable one. Saw one up on youtube.
Have any of you made and adjustable (for thickness) jig? and did you use plans or just winged it?

Attach it to the movable(adjustable) fence.(assuming Al table here).

Yes. Just as adjustable as the bandsaw fence.

I am talking about moving the "log" towards the blade on each pass, so as not to cut into any waste wood. Using a sled of sorts.

Since you are sawing a log, it's best to slab off a small slice then use the fat from that slice against your fence jig.
Seems with a V type sled, you would be slicing off pieces of your sled. This way the sled would only work until the V is gone.

Gonna change my mind - Probably would saw off a slab as said, then use that face to slide on the table, then saw another slab at right angles to the first. Then you would have both a reasonably flat surface on the table and another against the jig.

Let's get back to a jig - Make an "L" shaped sled to hold the log. Then make a couple of metal dogs (like small cant hooks). These hooks will be placed on the top of the "L" and will hold the log from rolling when sawn.
The lower leg of the "L" must be shorter than the log's width. Now you can make several slices before sawing into the "L". Now rotate the log 90 degrees, re-hook and slice off some more. Repeat the rotation and slicing once or twice more. Now you have a relatively square piece. (there may be some wane remaining) From here you can just saw away as you would a board.
This would resemble a VERY SMALL sawmill/
