26 inch belt modifications

I modified the motor pan and motor mounting on the FrankenGGG to allow use of a 26" drive belt.

The first 'alteration' is to slot the mounting holes since the splayed angle of the motor mounting holes will move the center of the screw holes outward. The white thing inside the hole is a 1/4" thick nylon spacer.

A seal is added at the exhaust vent louver to assure proper air flow. There is another foam seal on the inner edge of the louver also.

The 26" belt at high speed. The 13A0660 refers to 13mm wide x 660mm long. I do not recall the brand(sorry). The 26017 may help narrow that down.

The High speed limit.

The low speed limit. The excess range can be reduced by having the belt in further from the periphery of the pulley when performing high speed adjustment(limit).
FrankenGGG refers to the source of parts from Greenies, Goldies and Gray uns. Like Frankenstein, it was 'assembled' from widely flung parts sources.
She started out as a mini headstockless SPT cart, but has evolved so that now she is destined to be an under table routing station(as well as other functions when not so). The headstock will be mounted reversed with the quill facing away from the 'tailstock'. The carriage and table will be mounted to the left of the headstock so that when raised to vertical the quill shaft will come up under the horizontal table. This results in all the controls being on the 'back side'.
BTW the motor is now reversible(rotation), but that is another thread(coming real soon).
