Motor Reversing wiring etc.

The modified GE 3/4hp motor was installed in the FrankenGGG's motor pan.

The DPDT reversing switch was mounted 2" down from the top of the motor pan and just inside the side. It was oriented so that down is 'normal' rotation, and up is 'reversed'. It only comes into play when the start switch is closed(startup and coast down).

It is a bit busy inside and quite crowded. The motor is also jumper changeable to 230v operation(not a quick change thing). I have set it up for 115v operation.

The power cord strain relief is a common right angle electrical part. Notice the use of a rubber hose to adapt the smaller electrical cord to the larger strain relief. The original hole in the motor pan is greatly enlarged, but has a roughly defined double d shape(prevents the strain relief from rotating in the hole).

A reason for the crowded inside wiring was the inclusion of an auxiliary power receptacle that is 'hot' when the headstock power switch is 'on'. Put there because a PO of the motor pan had drilled a large hole there. I decided to install the receptacle there thinking Dust Collector although more as a control, not as plugging the DC in directly.
