I'm giving away my Mark V. The head seems to be seized or something (motor works fine with no load), and the speed control needs some lovin'. I have 2 10ER's that work fine, so I'm passing this on if anyone wants to pick it up in Surrey, B.C., on the wet coast.

Has the drive belt dropped down too far into the control sheave pulley and gotten jammed?

jammed

Nope, I took the sheaves apart for cleaning and lubricaiton, and the tightness is definitely in the top end. I have 2 fully operational 10ER's, and I don't want to spare the time to fix this one, so I'm passing it on. I may already have a CL hit, but one man's junk.....

... to a young man who has the time and energy to repair. I'm sure he will be on line soon (I gave him the link to this esteemed site), and I am sure you will all be very helpful, as usual.

Good for you for spreading the joy....

It's nice when I hear of young folks digging the machines.
Maybe there's hope yet?

Spreadin' the joy

Indeed! I think I have given away more tools to young folks than I can recall. Not just the tools, but showing them how to do something useful. I'm sure all that good karma will come around some day.
