Where Do "Read Status" Updates Come From??

Post by dusty »

Where does the" read status" originate:confused:.

For the past few days it seems that I have repeatedly accessed a forum post that is indicated to have been unread but I have already viewed it.

Is this something not responding properly on my computer or is it elsewhere.

If I remain on the forum, the situation does not exist. Only when I leave the forum (which I don't do often) and then return do I notice this.

I've had this problem from day one. In addition, I've used the "Mark Forum Read" and the some threads still shows up as not read. I just chalk it up to stuff happens.

Actually, I chalk it up to an old version of vBulletin. This forum uses vBulletin Version 3.5.4 which is not the latest. I participate in two other forums that use the later versions of vBulletin and I do not experience this on those forums. Maybe not true but that is my opinion for now.
