I have been working full time on a reception area at an old library. What a wierd old build! Solid maple and finished in the 70's with walnut stain! Butt ugly!! I had to strip all the old polyurethane off, and sand the crap out of the wood to get the blotchyness to a point where I can do something with it. Also had to tear out the pass-thru bookdrop, and duplicate the panel with a big square hole in it. I had to come up with some mouldings from the 70's, and can't believe I found something I could modify and use at Lowes!! I'll post pics in a couple days. Going beddie bye! I'm pooped! jimsjinx

Why would anybody use clear maple, and then stain it brown? Anyway, we will begin finishing after the floor guys grind the concrete. We[ATTACH][/ATTACH] have to seal off everything with plastic, and then luan ply for protection. Will keep em coming till we are done. jimsjinx14668
