Heirloom Rocking Horse
Many years ago, I purchased plans for a thick, oak rocking horse from shopsmith. Now my daughter has grown up and has a daughter of her own, and she wants me to build that same rocking horse. It was titled, "Heirloom Rocking Horse".
Does anyone remember this plan, and/or know where to find it? Any help would be appreciated!

Heirloom Rocking Horse
The plans I am looking for were purchased from shopsmith in the late 80's or early 90's. It called for thick (3 or 4 inches) oak stock, and was something that would last for decades. The replies I received are greatly appreciated, but the plans I am looking for weren't free, and out date the plans that were offered by quite a few years.
Anyone else? Please help!

I'm new to the forum but I saw you post and was wondering if this might be the horse your looking for. I think the plans came from shopsmith but I cant exactly remember. It was a lot of fun to build. If that is it I think I can find an address for you tonight.camelotww wrote:Many years ago, I purchased plans for a thick, oak rocking horse from shopsmith. I'm sure the plans shown on the link given us by beeg (post #3) are the ones you were looking for. If anyone wants FREE plans and complete step by step instructions on the horse, go to "Hands-Online Magazine" issue from Nov/Dec 2001. To find the Hands-Online issue, go to the shopsmith.com site and click on the word Woodworking on the red line near the page top. In the scroll down menu click on "Hands-Online". From here just scroll down to find the proper issue.
The reason I spelled out how to get to Hands-Online is - folks may find other FREE projects they would like.
