Did You Know

Post by dusty »

that there is a direct link to shopsmith.com from here on the forum.

Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and click on the copyright 2006 Shopsmith, Inc.

Once there you can return to the forum by clicking on the "go back one page" arrow (top left hand of the page). You will have to click more than once depending on how far into the web page you ventured.

I will now use this daily, when I go there to check on the "current special".

Alternately, right click and select open in new tab or open in new window.

Thanks Dusty. That is a easy way to get to it.

Thanks! I was closing out of the forum and typing in the name. I'm not much of a computer guy

I'm not computer literate either. I stumbled onto this.

Another web browser short cut: In the address bar, you can just type "shopsmith" then hold down CTRL and hit Enter and the browser will add the "http://www." to the beginning and the ".com" to the end and then load the address.

So typing "shopsmith" then hitting CTRL-Enter will take you to "http://www.shopsmith.com"

It works for any address, I just used Shopsmith as an example. Some browsers add more functionality - like doing SHIFT-Enter to use .net instead of .com.

It can be shorter than that. Just enter Shopsmith.com (for example) and hit enter. It will automatically take you there.

I have an even simpler way save it in you favorites and all you need to do is click favorites and click it and you are there.
