Shopsmith 10 E machine, serial number 30421

Hello All;
I have dug my Shopsmith out of the back of the garage after a twenty year resting stage. Turns out this Shopsmith is a 10 E, serial number 30421.
Any thoughts on what year this unit was manufactured?
Also, what are the differences between a 10 E and 10 ER?
This unit is al original including the optional speed changer. I plan to restore and eventually put this machine back in service.
