Saw Arbors

For Christmas, I recieved a brand new saw arbor from Shopsmith! I was amazed at the large diameter. It is also quite heavy duty.

I also just purchased some additional arbors off of ebay from 2 different vendors.

So, out of the 4 arbors I have, none of them are exactly the same. They will all work for what I need.

But, has anyone seen a chart showing the different sized arbors? And, if so, does it recommend the new heavy duty arbor for a plywood blade versus a combination blade?

Thanks, in advance, for any ideas/suggestions you might have!

There are the older shorter type with a left hand thread for 1 1/4" blades.

There are the shorter MV 500 arbors that have a right hand thread on the outboard side.

There are the longer MV 510/520 arbors like the one above.

There are several 5/8" arbors and one of those is a big chink of steel.

The 5/8" also have long/short versions.

Then there are the molder/dado arbors of strangely different lengths.

Lastly there are 'universal' arbors that are not intended to be used as a saw blade arbor.

I have purposefully NOT mentioned M10 arbors.

Only 4 versions!:D
