I just was given an older Mark V (not sure how old is there a way to tell?). I can already see that I will enjoy it, but I can also see that it will need some tuning up and TLC. I have a medium size shop FULL of tools so if I can get this working to par I may be able to get rid of some to save floor space. So...where should I start? The speed control works fine on slow, but as I try to speed it up the motor keeps going but the spindle stops. Seems like the belt looses contact with the drive pully. Also what is the best way to clean corrosion off the slide rails (I know I may be using wrong terminology, but I will learn:) ).
I look forward to getting to know my new toy and having many hours enjoyng it!!!

The movable sheave on the motor shaft is stuck in slow position.
