Half bas ackwards.

Open the control sheave(high speed).

Open the motor pulley (floating sheave) manually.

Slip the belt into the motor pulley, then work it around.

JPG-I don't know what to say but you got it all going on as far as this Mark VII. Ran it up and down, it all works, but did not check speed. I'm still a little gun shy with just the headstock running on my bench. Gonna get back at it. Thanks you!!

Try using a heat gun or hair drier on the plastic to see if it will help with restoring the color. Start with a little heat a distance away and gradually increase the heat but not to the point it starts to bubble or melt. Stadiums use heat to restore the color of the plastic seats and I have seen other people use it to help restore the color to other plastic items.

Lol, yeah the buttons are some kind of ugly, I’ve tried to polish with headlight cleaner, wd40, buffing compounds. will try the JPW and heat gun might be the ticket as well. I used something else on an earlier rehab that worked great but I don’t remember what it was.

Another ugly plastic part, they appear to be decomposing a bit. JPW not any help. Have a heat gun and will give it a shot, worse case I know a guy.

Pic of new adjusters. What’s cool about the Mark VII, and not happening on the Mark V, is it can be dialed in perpendicular to the machine top or table or whatever else you may need within reason. Full inch or so of adjustment. Sitting on a perfect 90 degrees with no weight. I know many don’t care but it makes me happy.

Just let me know which ones you need. Not sure if they are threaded or molded on? If threaded, I can make them.

The plastic quill handle end and the crank handles are a press fit onto the end of splined rods. Not threaded. Not sure about the little table interlock thingy.

Getting close, was hoping to be finished…ran it and she runs beautifully. 800 RPM low end and 6000 or so high end and the dial clicks very smoothly. I was very happy, much nicer than my other machines. I have attempted to install upper and lower guard and was wondering about the following, knowing the parts I’m using are not necessarily for this model.

There is a slot about 3/4” wide on each side that would appear to let sawdust fly out of lower guard. Any idea what these slots are for?
The lower guard front plate just barely rubs on the blade. I read requirement is at least a 1/4” clearance. Do I have something installed wrong or is there a shorter arbor?
It appears there is still a lot of blade exposed and not a real good seal for dust. Is this just the way it is?

Is the quill shaft 1 1/8" proud of the collar? Looks sorta short????

I think you can slide the guard out some on the quill?
