With the topic of electrolysis coming up in horologists rust removal part 1 post, I got itchy to try it again but since I no longer have anything rusty, I am going to try it on my ER's aluminum  worktable, fence, extension table, and jig saw....thing. They're loaded with white corrosion and I just don't feel like going over the entire surface with the brass wire wheel like I did with my Greenieunless I have to. It takes too long, not to mention being very tiring on the arms.

Electrolysis is not recommended for aluminum UNLESS you use low current and a short cycle time. I've read where unless your working with a highly polished surface, it works fine as long as you inspect the part every 5 or 10 minutes. Tonight will be the test!!!
