I always appreciate this group whether I am seeking advise or perusing ideas to get more out of my Shopsmith.

OOPs, I did not include a new in box set of floating tables and legs. Shopsmith item, 555137 priced at $412.

I am a long time Shopsmith user but am out of touch with prices on used equipment. I am trying to help a lady in St Louis with a 510 plus bandsaw and jointer. It belonged to her father who passed away. The 510 has a 3/4 hp Magna motor dating this machine back to 1955. The bandsaw's s/n indicates 198...

A few years ago I replaced the bearings and the noise diminished a bit but not totally. A couple weeks ago the 1/4" blade I have been using for way too long finally broke. When I replaced it the noise dropped off again, significantly. Not totally gone but what I consider normal.
