Not only are some of the prices outrageous, but what about the shipping on some of those items? Pretty pricey if you ask me. Brent Most of the time shipping prices is what keeps me from bidding on something that I really want. I've done my share of selling on eBay and I always shipped at what it co...

I took the time to look at this and compare the prices from the accessory catalog. Do owners really buy from these people? The markup was, in my opinion, unbelievable! Is this actually a markup or does Shopsmith make a profit from this? Or is this the actual price do to an increase in materials? I ...

Lower Guard Instructions

Does anyone have Lower Guard Installation Instructions. I bought one on Ebay and would like to install it correctly the first time. :) Hi, I may have what you need. Is the guard the newer one with the clear upper guard? I think it's been in production since about 1982. Part# 505875. If your Mark V ...

Nylon Sleeve on Gilmer System

On the Gilmar drive the nylon piece acts as a dust shield. It is missing on my Greenie and the lack of one has not caused any problems. I don't believe you can purchase a replacement. Hi, The nylon drive is available from Shopsmith. Here is the link: http://www.shopsmith.com/ownersite/itemfind.htm?...

Hands On Magazine

Ok, I think I've found the answer. It appears that the magazine ceased publication with the Fall 1990 issue. There were only 2 issues in 1990, Spring/Summer and Fall. Here's a breakdown of what I know for those who are interested: Began in 1979 with the Sep/Oct issue. Published bi-monthly 1979 - 2 I...

Hands On Magazine

It's not just the plans, it's also the articles and what not. The main thing for me is knowing what's been published and trying to obtain them. If I don't know with what issue it stopped, then I don't know what not to look for. Does that make sence? Thanks!

Hands On Magazine

Does anyone know exactly how many issues of Hands On were published? When was the last one published? I have a fairly complete library but am missing issues after Jan/Feb/Mar 1986. They went to a Summer, Winter, Fall type for a few issues then Spring/Summer, etc, and I can't figure for sure whats mi...
