To repair, I would try attaching an aluminum plate to the underside of the insert with JB Weld.
I did that to repair a broken speed changer and it has worked well.

I have to question if that is a crack. The line I see appears to be too straight to be a crack.


The image below more clearly shows the nature of the crack.


Also, the machining marks don't match up on the two pieces. It appears that those were never one piece.
