So bought a 1955 greene yesterday. Took apart to repair and repaint Has what appears to be the original motor. Sn# UMD. Yes that is all stamped for serial number. Now the strange part. In the motor tray lays gray round thin paper disc and a 2" long screw. The screw threads match a threaded hole...

so after using this mod have you noticed any issues with the enlarged drum hole and sanding belt issues.
I would think that the 1/2 hole really has not caused any belt holes or weird wear but asking is knowing
