Band Saw Blues. Bad blade, or pilot error?

Recently bought this bandsaw, and put a new blade on. Follwed the setup and adjustment procedures in the owners manual. The blade is a 6 tpi x 1/2", bought off Amazon. Saw is correctly set up and tensioned.

The two pulleys give you a choice of speeds. Only recently made bandsaws have a hole for tensioning. You'll need a window also so you can see the tension gauge without taking the side cover off. Here's an example of a DIY window: https://forum.shopsmith.com/viewtopic.php?p=182706#p182706

New to me bandsaw. Also, I'm new to the forum.

Questions:

Why are my images sideways?

Is the belt on the correct pulley? What's the other pulley for?

What year was this saw made? There's no serial number.

There's no peephole for blade tension viewing. Okay if I cut one? Anyone have a picture of ...

Just bought a SS bandsaw with cast iron table, age unknown. It's grey and in very nice condition. Paid $80 for it, pretty happy. Came with a power stand and motor.
