It is an AMT table saw. I bought one from popular mechanics in 1973 or 74 cost around $34 if I remember right. I added a motor I found from some appliance. I did build the cabinet mentioned and made lots of sawdust. You could buy a larger fence to go with the cabinet. I did. Fence drove me crazy. Yo...

I have an Incra with a router table and a SS 520 with Jointech. I'd buy the jointech first. It is more substantial and better built. The Incra documentation, tapes, project book are better. I use both.

I'd keep both. Use one upright with OPR and keep the shopsmith with jointech. It's difficult with my weak back switching away from saw config with the jointech & the router table. I have both Incra router table with their fence and the jointech on the SS. both function alike however the jointech...

Nitric Acid Sawdust Session #4

I recently viewed finishing session in #4 that featured Nitric Acid. I was so impressed that I want to try it. I have a just completed poplar table that the patina shown would look great on. Has anyone purchased some and if so where did you get it? What do you call the beakers with glass tops and wh...

footswitch $

So far I've noticed that you use the footswitch in almost every session. Sugguestion - have Shopsmith offer it as a regular special with the session.

Compound Cuts Session #3

I had no problem viewing the Overarm Router segment. However, I did have problems with the Compound Cuts segment. The session stopped multiple times and reset a couple of times.

Please keep cranking the sawdust sessions out. They are terrific!:)

I just watched the Overhead Router. Looks great. I used it at shopsmith and loved it. I can't wait to see the future uses of it. I did get it after using it at shopsmith. I haven't used it at home yet. So many projects so little time. I couldn't get either the Nitric Acid session or cutting mutliple...

I have a Delta/Rockler with 3 horse motor which i use alot. I have a craftsman talble saw and radial Arm saw that i use to store stuff on. I have a chop saw for quick cutoffs or to quickly approximately size something.

I will frequently have SS and delta in use for different setups for a project.:)
