Re: Band Saw Frustration And Seeking Blade Recommendati
John, what Timber wolf blade did you get for resawing? I would like to try a different blade than the SS 5/8 blade, I do a lot of 6" stock and they don't seem to stay sharp for very long and then I get a lot of cupping as well. I have touched them up with my dremmel and then they cut true again...

Re: Accidental Test Of Shopsmith Combo Blade Versus A Brad
My father used to own a small saw mill years ago, and I can remember hitting various hardware in the trees when sawing. The worst one I remember was hitting a horseshoe that was apparently laid in the crotch of a tree and then grown around. I remember my dad saying many choice words and having to ha...

Re: Scroll sawing into insanity
I'm right with you on the spiral blades, I'll put one in to try and after about a minutes use swap it back to a regular blade. The idea is great but the mess ups you can make with little twitches is truly amazing.

I still say I would lean on them pretty hard for a new replacement and then they could figure out what is wrong with the problem unit in their own sweet time.

Re: PowerPro Woes...
My DIY PowerPro runs smooth as silk, but the quill doesn't retract the way it should either. I have removed it probably a dozen times at least and it still bothers. If it were me I would ask for a replacement if it was bought as a ready assembled unit. They need to make it right!

That is a truly awesome looking job! I want a 10er to rebuild so bad, but can't seem to find a good deal on one close to me.

Re: Molding/dado arbor
I have used one of those arbors with a saw blade for years until just recently when I picked up a 5/8 blade arbor. You will have issues with trying to tilt the table a lot as the nut and end of arbor will hit the trunion bar of the table, but otherwise it worked just fine for me.
