I just picked up a used Shopsmith with bandsaw and planner. Only problem is the planner doesn't have an owners manual. Looked at Shopsmith Site but couldn't see any way to purchase one.
Any one have any ideas how or where I can find one?

Did start motor at high speed. It started running slow that started to speed up before breaker blew.
Know not to turn speed control.
Also lubed sheaves and they move freely.
Havn't really touched speed control as it was set on high when I got machine. Not sure what may have happened prior to my ...

started work on one of three my greenies
After about three months of shop clutter felt it was time to start. Decided I would try and get one running before doing painting etc.
Here is my problem. Motor would not run and blew 15 amp braker in fuze box.
Cord was cracked and in bad shape so pulled motor and replaced cord. Blew out, cleaned ...

Used SS from newbee
I have picked up two used SS.
I understand date of Manufacture can be determined from serial number but can find no info.
1st 183784
2nd 58821
Also the 1st has a much heavier and larger table saw base and fence along with larger ext. tables. Is this a diff model or just some type of upgrade?
