just heard back from shopsmith they said if it has a hook it is the wrong key

Hi Dusty - just searched for the part number of the short key and I got your post

with the pic you posted in post 5 above so i think they have sent me the wrong key.

I hope so - I ordered 504209 Long Key which is the one I assumed was right
as they have also
501320 is the short key

just found this picture and the "long" key that shopsmith sent is not as long as this one in the picture of joshh I will measue it in the morning

I am about to replace the motor sheave keyway. I have figured out from the other posts that I need to put in order from the motor towards the end of the shaft the spacer, then the sheave, ok but how does the keway fit it has a bent end does it face towards the motor, or towards the shaft end and als...
