10ER Jointer Quest.

For those of you that have a jointer attached at one end of your SS. What is the quickest way to disconnect this and then reconnect so you can move the way tubes into a vertical position? I am guessing its not supposed to stay attached all the time???

I dont think it is a SS item. SS back then I dont think they used too much in plastics.


I honestly don't think it is either. As I look at it more and more none of the hardware matches and your correct, I don't believe there should be any plastic if it were made by Shopsmith. Just doesn't fit the ...

Here's a few more for you guys. Like I said, it all needs to be cleaned up pretty good. Can anyone tell me what kind of grease was used for the magna lube? I would like to find a like kind to use to re grease with.

IIUC = IF I UNDERSTAND CORRECTLY

A RING MASTER IS A DEVICE THAT ALLOWS ONE TO MAKE 'BOWLS'.'VASES' FROM FLAT BOARDS.

The saw blades are standard with a 5/8" arbor. Be aware that the 10 is an 8 inch design.

You done good!

You now have a fairly rare animal. 4E jointer etc, a speed changer, 3 disk sanding plates and IIUC, a ring-master!!!!

I did not notice a drill chuck, but that is easily 'fixed'.

A word of warning, do not allow the springs on the speed changer to become fully compressed EVER! They ...
