I am betting that what is needed is sperical washer, #53 (501317) on the quill control.

Anyone got a spare spherical washer they can send to a broke grad student? Just a tip about abs plastic and abs cement; The magic of abs is that it can be dissolved in acetone. So to repair or glue an abs bandsaw cover and have the glue color match the cover is simple.
