Re: Parts for Shopsmith in Ontario Canada
Sure would be nice if SS had an Amazon store with at least parts. I understand the weight of headstocks etc can be an issue with the Amazon systems. On Amazon.ca it shows the duty etc.

Re: Toolbox
Very nice and specific to your tools. Always wanted to make one but the weight of the tools plus the wood weight, I worry about it being too heavy. I use a systainer now.

Re: Do I have to remove the bandsaw on the mark 7
Thanks Russ. I currently don’t have a shopsmith. I used to have one that I did all the upgrades to except the double tilt.. I got tired of the Fiddling in between tools so I sold it for independent machines. I now find myself missing a few thing about the shopsmith and am considering buying another ...

Re: Do I have to remove the bandsaw on the mark 7
Sorry. I just figured this out. The double tilt is designed in a way that disallows the storing of tools. Shame. I liked keeping the extra tool on the machine while in drill press mode. Double tilt is nice too though.

Do I have to remove the bandsaw on the mark 7
Am I reading it correct that the new mark 7. The bandsaw must be removed before you can go to vertical drill press mode. I could swear my old 520 had the option to leave the bandsaw on. Is it just the tubes offset that used to be different.

Re: A Brand New Shopsmith is Still a Good Buy
The F150 comparison was just an example that an "old" company can try something new, and can innovate. My F150 still takes Gas. :-). Not professing that electric pickups make any sense.

I guess I was thinking in terms of sharing resources or maybe buy/sell boards. Get togethers? I guess by state could be done as well.

Well, I never wanted to debate everyone here, but as you can see from what happened, Company was sold. I can say the "marketing" as we are calling it has greatly improved, There does seem to be a bit of interaction with the customers, the website has been updated, and the product line is b...

Re: Parts for Shopsmith in Ontario Canada
Don't want to start a rumor, But I think the Canadian company will be https://stockroomsupply.com. As they were mentioned in the video. With the exchange rate an mark7 would be like $7500CND. I think they could do well selling parts to the canadian market.
