Re: Shopsmith 510 to 520 upgrade
Interesting. My set screw was impacting my alignment. I backed it off and realigned my fence. Never noticed it before I read the post. It wasn't covered in the alignment video I watched.

Re: HI Everyone. New hear. First Shopsmith. First question.
Thanks @dusty and @ERLover
We have some snow coming this weekend so maybe I'll take another swing at saw alignment. I followed the Mal Hyams youtube videos so far. Do I need a "dial indicator" to get it aligned correctly? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks. I spent a couple of hours Sunday trying to get the table saw aligned. Much better now.

Re: HI Everyone. New hear. First Shopsmith. First question.
Thanks. I'll have to get that part. I'm surprised that the handle end of the miter bar doesn't have a washer (part 283) like the front does. This would prevent the handle end from riding up. I'm sure its by design but i'm not sure why.

Re: HI Everyone. New hear. First Shopsmith. First question.
Thank you all again! I was fortunate that the screw was in the handle so i have attached it to the base. This makes a big difference as the clamp is much stronger now.
@JPG - I'm not sure what the "miter angle stop pin" is.
Also, I am missing "Taper Screw" (279). Trying to figure out what it does ...

Re: HI Everyone. New hear. First Shopsmith. First question.
Thanks for quick responses. I moved the claim handle and it is much better now!! Not sure what the tilt stop pin is yet - going to have to look it up.

Re: HI Everyone. New hear. First Shopsmith. First question.
Hi Everyone
I am wondering if my gauge is missing a part on the bottom? It seems sloppy toward the rear (claims side).
Thanks
Bill
