Thanks to everyone. SS emailed and called today and they said 5 to 7" which is the same as in the video JPG sent. Thanks again and I am glad to get the input of the 42" hood.

4.7" to 7" sounds great. That is a wide spread, I wonder why? I will call SS Monday and let everyone what they say.

So the 42" hood does an effective job in filtering the shop air. That is good to hear, as i get older dust seems to bother me more.

CFM of DC3300

I have moved to the mountains of NC and working on a shop. The DC3300 says it has a 330CFM rating but I can not find the external static pressure the fan will handle. In other words 330CFM @ ?ESP. If the fan delivers 330CFM at 1"ESP then I would be very restricted on building a semi-permanent system ...
